About us

Welcome to the Forest of Dean Historic Vehicle Club. We are a group of around 150 historic vehicle enthusiasts based in the Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire.

Our club dates back to 1993 and aims to restore, maintain and, above all, use historic vehicles. Our members own a variety of vehicles, with the oldest dating back as far as 1911. Owners of vehicles over 40 years old are automatically eligible to join the Club, and those between 30 and 40 years old can become members at the discretion of the committee.

We hold monthly social meetings at Ellwood football club with speakers, film showings and quizzes. We also hold monthly Club Sunday runs during the summer, giving members a chance to take their cars out, stopping off for coffee and lunch and for a visit to a museum, gallery or garden. The routes are set by members and usually run through quieter back roads for a maximum of 100 miles. There is also usually a longer weekend trip away each year or coach trips to motor-related events or attractions. See the Events and Diary sections for more information about our meetings.

New members are always welcome – please get in touch for more information or to apply.
